Artemisia schmidtiana ‘Nana’

This low growing form of Artemisia has wonderfully tactile, frilly silver foliage that is semi-evergreen.

It will happily thrive in a stony soil in full sun, so a gravel garden is ideal.  Very versatile you can use it for edging a path, ground cover or providing a striking foil for other plants in a container, where it will gently trail over the edge.  Leave all the old foliage in place until the spring and then prune it back to a tidy shape.
