Convallaria majalis
Height x Spread: 15cm x 60cm
Commonly known as Lily of the Valley, the scent of this perennial during spring is beautiful. White nodding bell-shaped flowers are held above the green, elliptical foliage. Red berries follow the flowers during summer. It is a good ground-cover perennial.
It flourishes in woodland situations where the trees above provide dappled shade. Moist but well-drained soils are preferred. Use this perennial to under plant trees and shrubs or plant in open sunny areas where the soil is reliably moist throughout the summer months.
All of the plant is toxic if consumed.
