Kniphofia ‘Bees’ Lemon’
Height x Spread: 85cm x 50cm
Individual tubular lemon-yellow flowers open from lime-green buds to form the upright spikes of flower we commonly know as Red Hot Pokers. Narrow linear foliage arches at the base of the erect stems.
Flowering in midsummer these perennials like to be planted in a sunny spot with moisture-retentive yet free-draining, humus-rich soil. ‘Bees Lemon’ is salt tolerant therefore suiting costal gardens. Very large clumps can be divided during spring, this is generally only required once every 10 years or so.
