Lupinus Terracotta (‘Wclterr’PBR)
Height x Spread: 90cm x 60cm
Lupinus ‘Terracotta’ stands out from the crowd due to the striking colour of its chunky flower packed spikes, a natural terracotta tone enriched with peach and highlights of gold, all neatly set off by mounds of fresh green foliage.
Flowering from May into July with regular deadheading, its soft colour combo’ is very on trend complementing apricot, soft pinks and tawny oranges. A popular cottage garden stalwart, its form and impact work well in courtyards and small gardens whilst its tolerance of salty air makes it a good choice for coastal sites. Considered a ‘hungry’ perennial, to thrive it needs a fertile, neutral to acidic soil which is moist but well drained plus a sunny site, although it can tolerate light dappled shade too.
