During the summer the delicate blousy double rose-pink flowers of ‘Sarah Bernhardt’  with their ruffled inner petals and their divine fragrance, stand above glossy green divided foliage which turns to bronze late in the year – ‘Sarah Bernhardt’  it is a top class grower.

Peonies are quite happy to be planted in any reasonably good, free-draining soil in a sunny spot. This Paeonia is a often included in planting schemes using pastel shades due to it’s beautiful soft pink blooms, a wonderful choice for a cottage garden. When planting Paeonia make sure that you don’t plant them too deeply as this will inhibit their flowering.
