Upright stems bear trumpet-shaped, fancy dark pink flowers, which have a white throat, throughout the summer. The flowers stand above semi-evergreen lance-shaped luscious green foliage. This Penstemon is a clump-forming perennial.
‘Pennington Gem’ would give any border a real lift with its striking pink flowers. It will also encourage bees and other pollinators into your garden. Cut ‘Pennington Gem’ back hard after the last frosts in spring. Softwood cuttings can be taken during summer.
H3 – Hardy in coastal and relatively mild parts of the UK (-5 to 1)
