Gorgeous double, pure white flowers occasionally with the slightest hint of blue, bloom from autumn until late spring, giving off an irresistible fragrance. ‘Conte di Brazza’ is a Parma Violet and is best treated as a  tender perennial, it forms mounds of heart shaped foliage. Parma violets are wonderfully fragrant plants and perfect for a cool conservatory throughout the  winter months. Pick small bunches of the flowers to enjoy them indoors and to encourage more flowers to be produced. 

Ideally these tender Violas should be grown in pots in a fertile, moisture retentive yet free-draining soil or compost. Place the pots into either a cold frame, glasshouse or polythene tunnel with good light to overwinter, where they will be protected from the worst of the weather. They can be placed outside in a shady location after the last of the spring frosts. Remove the long runners that these violets produce to encourage strong flowering. Parma violets have been grown in the UK for 150 years, predominantly as cut flowers.
